PM’s Narendra Modi’s Initiatives for financial inclusion & Skill India initiatives are creating more livelihoods in India’s growth story.
The Government has focused on 3 parameters:
The unbanked sector is tapped by the Government’s Jan Dhan Yojana spreading a message that a bank account is a right of every Indian citizen. Bank account openings are ensured under Jan Dhan Yojana at zero balance and through Aadhar Identification.
In the first 12 months of the launch of Jan Dhan Yojana, the unbanked Indian citizens have opened 180 million bank accounts. These accounts are backed up with the unique identification i.e. Aadhar card.
Women – Home makers, small & medium scale professionals & entrepreneurs of unorganized sectors, self help groups of women who pull their savings and work towards opportunities creating livelihoods are benefited through their bank accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana which further allow these working women across rural as well us urban Indian to further benefit under PM’s Mudra Yojana Schemes. These initiatives open loan facilities among start up entrepreneurial initiatives among women.
Further, under the same initiative three social security schemes got launched, namely, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) are beneficial for women in a big way.
These schemes have the ability to provide adequate and affordable social protection to all citizens and are conducive from women point of view.
Equality and integrity are a part of development journey of any country. To ensure this PM has initiated several measures aimed at bringing about a positive change in the lives of women. These schemes aim to give dignity & equal opportunity to all Indian citizens.
The ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ Yojana seeks to usher in a paradigm shift in attitudes towards the girl child and places emphasis on educating the girl child. The Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana will provide support for marriage and education of young women. MUDRA Bank will help thousands of women achieve financial independence.
PM’s agenda aims at ending discrimination and violence against women. The Government is setting up centers to provide legal advice, counseling centers for women facing violence. Let us support these initiatives to transform our nation into an equal platform for all its citizens.
